Through the stone pillars and winding along a half-mile drive of evergreens, rock ledges, and streams, the hidden magic of Cedar Lake Lodge unfolds. Framed by the glorious woodlands of the Hudson Valley, this peaceful and ultra private 70-acre retreat is surrounded by over a 1,000 acres of protected land, offering views in every direction, from sunrises/sunsets to its private 6-acre Cedar Lake, encircled by miles of meandering stone walls and moss-lined hiking trails.

Incorporating the original cabin built in 1950, the expanded cedar and stone lodge is a seamless blend of Adirondack aesthetics and modern convenience and comfort, with its beamed living room and original stone fireplace, spacious well-appointed chef's kitchen, den, family room/library, fitness center, heated garage and more. Bluestone and hardwood flooring grace the lodge throughout.

From the kitchen, French doors lead to the expansive deck with a stone firepit, romantic screened sleeping pavilion, and panoramic views of nature, overlooking the spring-fed stone swimming pond, meadow, and woods beyond.

An expansive ensuite primary bedroom graces the second floor, with a stone fireplace, and oversized windows offering wide views of the property and sounds of the babbling brook below. The spacious primary bath offers twin vanities, soaking tub, large glass shower with dual rain showerheads, separate lavatory, radiant heated bluestone floors and French doors to the generous dressing room with double closets. A back hallway features a dog spa and large upper level fitness center with walls of windows overlooking the property.

Adding to the retreat vibe is the lower level, with its stone wood-burning fireplace, wall of accordion French doors to a private stone patio edged by the stream, built-in bookcases, separate office/guest room, full bath, and storage rooms/wine cellar.

Sweeping lawns surround the fenced French potager (kitchen garden), with flowering perennials, blueberries, blackberries, and herb/vegetable beds. An adjoining orchard features a variety of fruit trees including apples, peaches, pears, and more. Nearby is the 3600-square foot custom-built barn, consisting of a lower level which can accommodate horses, vehicles, recreational space, a hobby/workshop and more. A handsomely appointed large entertaining space comprise the second floor of the barn.

A cottage situated along the drive just before the lodge can accommodate guests or a full-time caretaker. Nearby an authentic sugar shack with traditional evaporator is ready for maple syrup production or conversion to an artist/writer studio, completing this bucolic country scene.

Ready for year-round rowing, paddling, swimming, fishing, and skating pleasure is 6-acre Cedar Lake, with a shoreline which inspires birdwatching, sunrise yoga and sunset sipping, while the changing seasons are reflected by its serene waters. Throughout the property, recreational opportunities abound, including hiking, riding, mountain biking and cross-country skiing on the network of groomed marked trails; frisbee golf, lawn bowling, or simply being immersed in the sights and sounds of nature.
